A market report projects global smartphone production will decrease as a lack of "breakthrough" features triggers weaker consumer demand this year.
According to market analyst TrendForce, the smartphone production volume will reach 1-point-41 billion units in 2019, down 3-point-3 percent from the previous year.
And if the U.S.-China trade conflict worsens, the overall production may be down as much as 5 percent.
The report said major manufacturers including Samsung and Apple,... are expected to cut production this year.
It added Samsung will take some 20 percent of the global smartphone market share, followed by Huawei and Apple.
