Shah Faesal who recently resigned from Indian Administrative Service (IAS) said that he has no plans as of now to join any mainstream political party. The former IAS officer is deeply concerned about massive human rights violations in the Valley and failure of government to facilitate homecoming of Kashmiri Pandits. He is also dissatisfied with the present system of politics where well meaning people are absent. While briefing the media on his resignation, he said, “Mainstream politics would have to be re-imagined and we need to tell the truth to the people. As of now I do not have any plans to join any existing mainstream party. As of now I have plans to go to the ground and listen to the youngsters, important stakeholders of the state. I would be very happy to contest the upcoming elections. I wish to use the Parliament as an important source of connection and engagement for bringing solutions for our place.”
