The unified Korean men's handball team made its debut at the world championships on Thursday, but lost to Germany.
The players from the two Koreas put up a fight against the number-one ranked Germany,... but lost by 30 goals to 19 on Thursday local time in Berlin.
It was the first time a joint Korean handball team has competed together on the international stage.
Seoul and Pyeongyang agreed to form a unified men's handball team at the inter-Korean sports talks back in November.
The unified Korean team will look to claim its first win when it goes up against Russia on Saturday.
