Food aid to North Korea falls sharply due to sanctions: WFP

The amount of humanitarian food aid sent to North Korea has fallen drastically due to the economic sanctions imposed on the regime.
According to a report from the World Food Programme,... last November, the amount sent was just a third of the amount the previous month.
In November, the North got 3-hundred-63 tons of food, which was provided to around 4-hundred-57-thousand pregnant and breastfeeding women,... and children under five years old.
A month earlier it was 1-thousand 83 tons.
The report blames the sanctions on North Korea,... which have been causing problems for international shipping.
