South Korea continues to endure a serious cold snap that started last week.
On Sunday, the mercury plunged to below minus 20 degrees Celsius in Cheorwon, Gangwon-do Province.
The temperature in the capital Seoul fell to minus 11 degrees.
Most regions were also under cold wave and dry air warnings.
According to the health authorities, some 136 people have suffered cold-related illness, such as hypothermia and 8 people have died until last week.
Meanwhile, there's light snow in the forecast for some areas in the south, including Jeju Island.
Some relief from the extreme cold is on the way, though, starting Monday.
