Good afternoon, freezing conditions are back with cold wave warnings in place and ... temperatures in northern regions falling to minus 10 degrees Celsius, it felt like minus 11 degrees in Seoul while parts of Gangwon-do Province had piercing cold with lows going down as low as even minus 20 degrees in some areas.
Seoul will actually be colder than Beijing today... meanwhile Beijing’s annual winter air pollution looks to be getting even worse this winter. Tokyo enjoys crisp weather with a high of 10 degrees.
Back in Korea, readings will remain quite cold all day, topping out at 1 degree in Seoul, and 3 degrees in Daejeon. Have some extra layers ready for when you head out.
After our cold and frosty start to Saturday morning, Mother Nature will give us a break next week with temperatures climbing above zero. On Sunday though, a mix of rain and snow is expected for most parts of country.
