Good morning, the freezing air is back... with cold wave warnings in place and temperatures in the northern regions down to almost minus 10 degrees Celsius, and even as cold as minus 20 degrees for some areas including Daegwallyeong in Gangwon-do Province.
These cold temperatures will be enough to re-freeze any left over water or snow from yesterday so be careful on the roads.
Seoul will actually be colder than Beijing today... meanwhile Beijing’s annual winter air pollution looks to be getting even worse this winter. Even today, some areas in China's capital will have unhealthy levels of air pollution.
Korea will have decent air quality today, but it will remain quite cold topping out at 1 degree in Seoul, and 3 degrees in Daejeon. Bundle up on your way out.
After our cold and frosty start to Saturday morning, Mother Nature will give us a break next week with temperatures climbing above zero. On Sunday though, a mix of rain and snow is expected for most parts of country.
