No. of visitors to S. Korea's Dokdo Island tops 220,000 in 2018, highest since 2013

The number of visitors to South Korea's easternmost Dokdo Island this year has surpassed 2-hundred-20-thousand.
That's the highest figure since 2013 when around a quarter-of-a-million people visited Dokdo.
It's also about seven percent higher than last year's total.
The Dokdo management office says.... the regular ferry schedule from March to October.... and more people being interested in Dokdo helped to bring in more visitors.
In total, over two-million people have visited Dokdo since 2005 when it opened to public for the first time.
