A senior Trump administration official has defended the use of tear gas at the U.S.-Mexico border.
On Nov. 25, U.S. border agents fired tear gas at a group of migrants near the border separating Tijuana from San Diego.
In response, Mexico’s foreign ministry called on the U.S. government for “a full investigation” into "non-lethal weapons" directed toward Mexico.
