S. Korea's per capita income in 2018 to surpass U.S.$30,000, but GDP growth seen faltering to 6-year low
- 5 years ago
South Korea's per capita income is on pace to top 30 thousand U.S. dollars this year,... but the nation's economic growth is expected to fall to a 6-year low.
According to the Bank of Korea,... the country's G-N-I per capita for 2018 is projected to come in at roughly 31-thousand U.S. dollars,... and that'll be twelve years after it broke through 20-thousand dollars.
But G-D-P growth is expected to come to only 2-point-7 percent for the year,... the lowest since 2012.
The central bank attributed the slowdown... to weak domestic demand, especially in the construction sector.
