Good afternoon, hope you are coping with the cold temperatures... the season's first cold wave advisory has been in place since last night and it's likely to stay with us for the next few days.

Expect to have highs nearly 8 degrees Celsius lower than yesterday, daily highs in the northern regions will be hovering in the mid single digits, you'll need to have a cup of hot tea to keep you warm.

Strong gusts will only add to the chilly air so bundle up tight. There'll be mostly sunny skies, and despite freezing temperatures, we can at least appreciate the clean air quality.

For a closer look at today's highs, Seoul will get up to 4 degrees. Busan, Jeju and Gyeongju should have bearable temperatures in the double digits.

Stay bundled up... the cold snap will get even worse starting Friday, it will hit its peak this weekend with lows plunging to minus 10 degrees Celsius on Saturday.

That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
