Now we turn to Michelle Park at the weather center for the latest updates. Michelle, the air quality in Seoul has improved considerably, but seems like it is not the same down in the southern regions?
Yes Daniel, pollution dissipated in the central region but the southern regions, including Busan and Jeju Island are still struggling with heavy air pollution 5 times higher than normal. The levels are expected to spike across the country again tomorrow as more smog is expected to flow in.
A high-pressure system will bring clear skies tomorrow with most parts of the country reaching double-digit highs.
Same goes for Tokyo -- where conditions are expected to be mild, but over in Beijing, the weather will be rather chilly.
The morning temperatures will be 2 to 3 degrees higher than today,...putting Seoul at 1 degree Celsius -- similar in Daegu and Gyeongju.
Daily highs will also be higher than today,... most places expecting to rise into the teens. Seoul hitting 11, and Jeju 17.
There's precipitation coming up late Sunday night until early next week. Afterward, colder weather will dominate the country.
