It's been found that the prices of three out of four items considered daily necessities in Korea rose significantly last month.
Among the 39 items surveyed by the Korea National Council of Consumer Organizations, the prices of laundry powder detergents and cooking oils rose the most.
The price of the detergents in three-kilogram units rose in October by nearly seven-percent from the previous month to nearly seven U.S. dollars.
The price of cooking oils in units of one-point-eight liters also climbed by five-and-a-half-percent from the previous month to five dollars.
There were only nine items in the survey whose prices fell over the same period.
