Pompeo thanks North Korea and Sweden for facilitating release of American citizen in the North

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has thanked North Korea and Sweden for their cooperation on facilitating the release of an American citizen in the regime.
Pompeo released a statement Friday where he referred to Sweden as their protecting power in North Korea, and thanked Stockholm for its advocacy on behalf of American citizens.
He added the safety and well-being of Americans remains one of the highest priorities of the Trump Administration.
Earlier Friday, the North's state media said it plans to deport Bruce Lowrance at an unspecified date.
The man was detained last month after crossing the border with China.
The state media claimed he confessed to entering the North under the direction of the CIA.
