Good morning, those of us in the orange colored area will need to avoid being outdoors as severe levels of toxic smog from China will have an impact on the Korean Peninsula starting this afternoon.
Light showers in the southern regions and Jeju Island will let up by the mid afternoon. The rest of the country will be cloudy and most regions will see highs that are 2 to 5 degrees lower than yesterday, Seoul only getting up to 11 degrees Celsius.
Starting tomorrow lows will plunge to the lower single digits and it's be close to freezing here in the capital... time to take out your winter jackets.
So it's about that time of the year... gimjang or kimchi making season in Korea. Colder northern regions will make kimchi this weekend and soon enough, regions across the country will have their Gimjang as well.
