South Korea is sending 200 tons of tangerines from Jeju Island to North Korea as a gift... in return for the pine mushrooms that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un sent to the South for the inter-Korean summit in September.
The Blue House says President Moon Jae-in ordered the tangerines to be sent so the North Korean people can taste the fruit that's now in season here in the South.
The tangerines will be delivered by military transport planes in four trips starting today.
In September, South Korea received two tons of wild pine mushrooms from the North, which are considered a delicacy.
President Moon had them given to people separated from their families by war and who had not been chosen to attend the most recent reunions.
