Some highways jammed as Koreans return home from Chuseok holiday
  • 6 years ago
As Korea's Chuseok holiday comes to an end… people are making their way back to Seoul after spending time with family in their hometowns.
Many of the nation's highways are backed up as the Korea Expressway Corporation estimates that nearly 3-point-9 million cars would be on the highways today.
Coming to Seoul from the southeastern city of Busan it's expected to take at least 5 hours, and from Daegu to Seoul, 4 hours.
Traffic is expected to ease up between 8 and 9 PM.
Things are normal, though, heading to the east coast and to Gwangju in the southwest.
