Korean boyband BTS become first K-pop group to speak at UN General Assembly

President Moon is not the only one representing South Korea at the UN General Assembly this week. K-Pop superstars BTS have also made an appearance to support a UNICEF youth initiative.
The leader of the seven-member boyband, Kim Nam-joon, delivered a speech on UNICEF's global partnership called "Generation Unlimited."
The initiative aims to create opportunities for young people between 10 and 24 years old.
BTS also put on a short gig before dignitaries,... including South Korea's First Lady Kim Jung-sook.
The group worked with the UN last year on awareness and fundraising campaigns,… joining up with the Korean Committee for UNICEF to release the song 'Love Myself'.
Proceeds from that tune -- that reached a cool one million dollars -- was donated to UNICEF.
