According to the NHC, Hurricane Florence has been downgraded to a tropical storm. Life-threatening storm surges and catastrophic freshwater flooding are still expected. Reuters reports Florence will move across southeastern North Carolina Friday night. It still contains maximum sustained winds of 70 miles per hour.
