Tropical Storm spun towards Virginia on Thursday, October 11, after making landfall as a Category 4 hurricane in the Florida Panhandle and heading inland towards Georgia and the Carolinas.

This video, filmed in Danville, Virginia, shows Michael attacking the city with high winds and heavy rain.

Michael has killed at least six people and left more than a million people without power across the region. The storm packed maximum sustained winds of 155 mph and a central pressure of 919 millibars, making it among the top four most-powerful hurricanes to hit the United States.

A tornado watch was in effect for much of North Carolina and Virginia in the evening.
