Flash Flooding Hits Maui as Storm Olivia Lashes Hawaii

Tropical Storm Olivia lashed Hawaii on Wednesday, September 12, causing flash flooding at a major road on the island of Maui.According to the Maui County government, residents at Lower Honoapiilani Road had to be evacuated due to rising waters in a nearby river.There were also reports of mudslides and landslides in the county.Flash flood warning for the whole island of Maui is in effect until 7:15 pm on Wednesday.Authorities also issued a flash flood watch to Oahu, Hawaii County and Kauai County.These videos, shared on September 12, show flash flooding at Lower Honoapiilani Road in Kahana, and damaged roads when the floodwater receded.
