Heavy rain set to continue in Seoul, central region

Let's get a further check on the weather from our Lee Jee-hyun who's standing by at the weather center.
Jee-hyun, I was caught out in those downpours last night and I can't remember the rain coming down that hard in YEARS,.... hopefully we won't have a repeat again today?

Well, Mark.... you might be out of luck... as it could rain as heavily as yesterday. Seoul is forecast to see 50 to 150 millimeters of precipitation, while the northern parts of Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do Provinces, including Pocheon and Cheorwon, could see with up to 250 millimeters.

Heavy rain warnings remain in place for those regions, while the rain warning has been lifted in Seoul as the showers tapered off around midnight.

But it's very likely to start raining again in an hour or so, you might want to leave for work a bit early today. We are forecasting heavy rain to pour down in the northern parts of Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do Provinces.

Southern regions, on the other hand, will see showers concentrated on Thursday, today should actually be quite hot and sunny with a heatwave advisory in place in some parts.

We can tell by temperatures. Daegu, Gwangju and Gyeongju will see highs of 33 and 34 degrees, while Seoul and Chuncheon will get up to 28 and 27 degrees respectively along with torrential rainfall.
So stay safe and that's the weather update for now.
