Ivanka Trump's tweet about the Jacksonville shooting drew many negative reactions.

First daughter Ivanka Trump faced backlash after tweeting about the Sunday mass shooting at a video game tournament in Jacksonville, Florida that resulted in eleven injuries and three fatalities, including suspected gunman David Katz. "As we await further details, our hearts are with Jacksonville and all those affected by today's tragic mass shooting," she wrote. Responses were swift and included, "Your 'heart' may be with them, (empty gesture), but this 'administration's' policies aren't. At each and every turn your father could do the right thing, but he chooses not to. What a shameful legacy for your family."  Others wrote, "Hearts only? No prayers? You know, a little gun control legislation could go a long way," and, "Save this for next time: As we await further details, our hearts are with [insert city here] and all those affected by today's tragic mass shooting."
