A dementia patient has managed to sing in French for the first time in 10 years thanks to a new app.

Ginette Koonjean, 71, performed a full rendition of a French song in her mother tongue much to the surprise of her family and carers.

Ginette, who was born in Mauritius, started showing symptoms of dementia in 2006 aged just 59, the same year her husband Philip passed away.
