Watch: ITBP transports patients on makeshift floaters in Kerala's Alappuzha

Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel transport patients on improvised floaters in Chengannur's Pandanad in Alappuzha district. ITBP personnel built makeshift floaters to meet the transport needs of the patients.

As people wade through flood water in Kerala's Alappuzha, the army, navy and RTF officials have helped run rescue operations. Earlier this week, the ITBP jawans had also rescued senior citizens in another flood-hit district in Alappuzha.

The Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan has called for an all-party meeting over the flood situation in the state today in Thiruvananthapuram. It is being chaired by CM Pinarayi Vijayan.
