Dr. M: We are still open to foreign investment

Amidst speculation that Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad is seeking to cull Chinese foreign investment in Malaysia in the light of the government scrapping of some Chinese projects, he responded that the doors are still open.

Mahathir said that the government has to first look at the huge debts left by the previous administration as the reason for the review of such projects.

"People were saying I was anti-Chinese, I explained to them that we are worried about the debts incurred and are not viable."
