Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad urged Malaysians to stay home this year and to avoid travelling to meet loved ones for Hari Raya Aidilfitri as it could do more harm than good by potentially spreading Covid-19.
Mahathir said if Malaysians fail to observe strict rules to curb the spread of Covid-19, the country could be as badly hit as India.
