Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update. The North Pacific high pressure that drove the heat wave has lifted and the cool air from the northeast has been flowing in, relieving some of the heat. However, the western regions including Seoul still remain under the heatwave but it feels better with lower humidity.
The temperature remains high in the thirties, but it will be pleasant under nice partly cloudy skies tomorrow. Meanwhile, Beijing and Tokyo are looking much cooler.
The nation will have a comfortable night again tonight and by the morning, Seoul will wake up to 22 degrees Celsius,... with cooler or similar temperatures in most places.
The eastern regions will be relatively cooler than the west. Seoul will reach a high of 33 degrees Celsius.
The heat won't just end like this. As Typhoon "SOULIK" moves northwards it's expected to push the North Pacific high-pressure front. So as it moves closer to the Korean peninsula on Monday, hot air will flow into the country again leading to more tropical nights.
