Mourning the death of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the he has lost a father figure. Modi added that the void left behind by Vajpayee can never be filled. “Under Atalji’s guidance, the Jan Sangh and the BJP reached new heights,” said Modi. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the first non-Congress leader to serve a full term in power, is no more. Vajpayee breathed his last at AIIMS hospital in Delhi where he had been undergoing treatment for various ailments since June.
