날씨: 서울 폭염, 남부 비

Hello I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update. Today marks the last day of the hottest part of the summer -- known as "Malbok" here in Korea. The western region was slammed again by the heatwave, but it has gotten cooler in the east.

Unlike Seoul, which is under clear sunny skies, rain clouds have developed in the south as typhoon Rumbia heads toward China. Jeju and the southern coast will be affected the most with up to 60 millimeters of rain through the night.

As the storm drifts to the west, the heat tomorrow will subside a little,... and will be similar to Bejing.

Tonight is going to be a pleasant night as tomorrow Seoul begins at 24, Daegu and Gyeongju cooler at 21 and 20 degrees respectively.

Tomorrow, Seoul drops about 3 degrees from today's highs topping 32 degrees and Daegu possibly falling into the twenties.

The temporary relief from the heat is expected to rise back up on Sunday.

I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.
