"축제의 바다 속으로"... 제 23회 부산바다축제 개막

Around this time of the year, many Koreans head South for their Summer holiday.
Busan hosts a sea festival at five of its beaches.
Packed with various exciting programs and concerts, it's a great way to unwind and forget about the extreme heatwave.
We go to our Kan Hyeong-woo who travelled to the port city to help us get closer to the excitement.
So Hyeong-woo, how's the vibe down at Haeundae beach.

Well Daniel, we have a little less than an hour left before the official opening performances begin at 7 o'clock,... but thousands of people are already here.

They're setting up the main stage... and as we speak, more and more people are showing up for tonight's big event.

The Busan Sea Festival takes place at the beaches of Haeundae, Gwangalli, Songdo, Dadaepo and Songjeong. It starts tonight and will run through Sunday, August 5th.

There'll be a lot of hands-on programs such as a night run, a dance party, and a water carnival that anyone can participate in. Plus there'll be a jazz concert, a DJ contest and special performances by Korean singers.

August has just begun and the heatwaves do not appear to be going anywhere soon,... but people here are having a great time and seem to have forgotten about the extreme temperatures. ( )

So for those of you who are interested, there is still plenty of time left to visit Busan and make the most of this hot summer. Back to you, Daniel.
