Now we turn to our Michelle Park at the weather center for the latest updates. Michelle, I hear we are in for more heat tomorrow.
Daniel, the highest temperature ever recorded in Seoul was in 1994... when it hit 38.4 degrees Celsius. Today it hit 38.3. But we haven't reached the peak yet. Tomorrow's high in Seoul is forecast to reach 39 degrees, which would be a new record.
The heatwave advisory is back in effect along the east coast as of today,... and parts of Jeju have also been upgraded to warnings along with the rest of the country.
A dry northeasterly wind tomorrow... will bring heat to the western side of the Peninsula... down to the Chungcheong provinces. Northeast Asia, including Tokyo and Beijing, will still be hot and humid but not as hot as Seoul.
After experiencing a tropical night, tomorrow morning will be at 28 degrees in Seoul, while most other places will linger between 25 and 26 degrees.
Into the day, Seoul and Chuncheon can expect to get near 40 degrees, but it'll be a little cooler as we move south.
After tomorrow's record-breaking highs in Seoul, Thursday morning will be near 30 degrees. At the end of the week, the highs should drop a little bit.
