Korea's industrial production went down in June amid a sharp drop in capital investment and weaker exports.
Statistics Korea says overal output for all industries fell seven tenths of a percent on-month, turning negative after posting growth in April and May.
Production in services did rise slightly by two tenths of a percent, but it was offset by declines in mining and manufacturing.
In manufacturing, output in semiconductors and electronic parts increased but production in vehicles and chemical products fell, driving down output by zero-point-eight percent on-month.
Capital investment continued to nosedive for a fourth straight month, dropping nearly six percent on-month in June.
