Korea is not alone in learning to cope with the sweltering heat.
In some parts of our world, the sizzling conditions are proving to be the deadliest they've ever experienced.
Seo Bo-bin explains further.

The sweltering weather in Korea has been continuing for days now, with almost the entire country being issued with heatwave warnings.
Korea's monsoon season finished earlier this year than last year.
But it is not the only country experiencing this unusual weather.
Other East Asian countries such as Japan and China are also suffering from a heat wave.
In some areas of Japan the temperature hit 40 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Japan has had this sweltering weather since Sunday and the heatwave is expected to continue until the end of the month.
Beijing had torrential rain on Sunday, but the temperatures there have climbed to 34 degrees Celsius in the heatwave that has followed.
North America has not escaped the suffocating heat either. Excessive heat warnings have been issued. with Denver and Los Angeles tied over the all-time highest temperature at 42 degrees Celsius.
Canada also recorded a temperature of 37 degrees Celsius, its highest in 147 years. The heatwave killed more than 80 people in the country.
The non-profit organisation Sustainable Energy For All has said that up to 1.1 billion people around the world are at risk due to the heatwave.
