BTS becomes first artist to get 'Million Certification' from Gaon Music Chart

More firsts for K-Pop sensation BTS.
The seven-member boyband has become the *first artist to receive an official "Million Certification" from Gaon Music Chart for their third album "Love Yourself: Tear."
The group's album has topped the chart with more than 1-point-7-5 million copies sold since its release on May 18th.
The Korea Music Content Industry Association,... which collates the Gaon Chart,... implemented a new certification system earlier this year for album sales,... song downloads,.... and online streaming.
Albums receive a "Million Certification' when sales top one million copies.
The BTS album has also made it onto America's Billboard 200 album chart for eight straight weeks.
