Papa John's Founder Says Stepping Down Was
a "Mistake" John Schnatter stepped down as chairman of Papa John's after audio leaked of him using the N-word in a media training session. Now he says he made a mistake in doing so. Schnatter alleges that the pizza chain doesn't know how to handle a "crisis based on misinformation." He says the board requested that he step down as chairman without "any investigation." Schnatter is Papa John's largest shareholder and remains on the board.
