China not engaged in trade talks with U.S.: Beijing’s Commerce ministry

China's Commerce ministry has said it's currently not engaged in trade talks with the U.S.,.... accusing Washington of escalating trade tensions between the two countries.
Spokesman Gao Feng told a regular briefing on Thursday.... that Beijing resolutely opposes America's trade bullying behavior,... warning that China will have no choice but to strike back.
He added,.... that China lost its trust in the U.S.,.... which he said was a precondition for trade negotiations.
On Tuesday, the Trump administration slapped new 10 percent tariffs on 2-hundred billion dollars-worth of Chinese imports.
