Lightning Sparks Wildfire in Northern Utah

Firefighters were battling a wildfire that broke out on the evening of July 9 from lightning storms in northern Utah. On July 10, officials reported the fire had grown to 1,000 acres.The Ellerbeck Fire started near Ellerbeck Road in Tooele County, Utah, according to KUTV.The National Weather Service issued an alert of strong storms moving over the Oquirrh Mountains and the surrounding areas on July 9, including lightning and heavy rain.No injuries were reported, and no structures were threatened by July 10.
