Wildfire Sparks Overnight Near Chico, Prompts Evacuations

A vegetation fire that ignited late in the evening on July 12 near Chico, California, quickly grew to 150 acres and prompted evacuation orders for residents between Shadybrook Lane and Canyon Oaks Terrace.The fire, dubbed the Stoney Fire, was burning in Upper Bidwell Park near Highway 32, according to reports from KRON 4.
