According to a report by Reuters, US President Donald Trump suggested that China may be seeking to derail efforts aimed at denuclearizing North Korea, however adding that he was confident that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un would ultimately uphold a pact the two agreed to last month. In his first comments about the challenging weekend talks ahead, Trump suggested that Beijing, North Korea's strongest ally, may be interfering in reaction to the Trump administration's stance on U.S.-China trade.
