Gov’t to review online marriage ads for human rights violations
  • 6 years ago
In response to claims that online international marriage advertisements violate women's rights, the government said it will look into the matter.
The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced that it will review online video adverts to see whether they are discriminatory or encourage other human rights violations such as human trafficking.
The government said it will instruct agencies to remove such advertisements,... and
will order a suspension of trading or revoke business licenses for agencies that don't comply,... and if necessary, will refer such cases to the prosecutors' office.
