Tuberculosis Scare Leads to Johns Hopkins Hospital Evacuation The hospital reported that a small amount of the infectious germ was potentially released while being transported. A vial of a frozen tuberculosis sample was dropped on the floor and its lid fell off. The drop occurred in the internal bridge that connects two of the hospital’s cancer research buildings. Soon after, a fire alarm was pulled and several buildings were evacuated. Hospital officials now say no one is at risk of contracting the disease.
