Federal agents moved to clear protesters from the front of the Immigration and Custom Enforcement building in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday, June 28. Agents had issued notice on Monday for protesters to leave, but the notice did not give a deadline.Agents, many dressed in riot gear, moved to clear the encampment at around 6 am on Thursday, and tents and other items were seen in the middle of the street, a news report said. It’s unclear if there were any arrests, though social media reports indicated there may have been several. The group had set up the occupation and blocked the front of the building since June 17 in a protest against President Donald Trump’s immigration policies. The building has been closed since then, and Thursday’s actions were to allow for the building to reopen. Credit: Abolish ICE PDX via Storyful
