Portland Police Separate Opposing Protest Groups

Opposing political groups gathered for demonstrations near Portland City Hall on Sunday, June 4. A Trump Free Speech Rally gathered in Terry Schrunk Plaza while opposing groups demonstrated outside City Hall and in another nearby park.As many as 60 groups were included among the counter-protesters, according to a news report. Police arrested at least two.The protests come as the city was still recovering from a stabbing attack on a MAX light rail car. Two people were killed and a third was seriously injured after coming to the defense of a girl wearing a hijab who was being harassed.
