Mattis, Bolton sent to China and Russia, possibly to talk North Korea issues

Two of the highest-profile members of President Trump's inner circle have been dispatched to China and Russia for talks on North Korea and bilateral relations.
U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis landed in Beijing Tuesday, with a goal of tightening up security dialogue with China despite increasingly charged Washington-Beijing relations.
Becoming the first Pentagon chief to visit China since 2014,... Mattis is said to hold talks with Chinese counterpart as well as President Xi Jinping today to stress Beijing's role in denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula.
U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton is in Russia to lay the groundwork for a potential summit between Presidents Trump and Putin next month.
The meeting could see Trump strengthen U.S. ties with Moscow amid the recent developments with North Korea and his feuds with other Western leaders.
