Singapore's government says it spent more than 11 million U.S. dollars on the North Korea-U.S. summit.... and that most of that was spent on providing tight security for the summit.
Singapore's Foreign Ministry revealed the figures due to a media request,.... but didn't provide the specifics,.... adding that it supports the global effort to bring peace and stability to the Korean peninsula.
The cost is lower than initial estimates, and marketing experts say..... that the advertising benefits of the summit for Singapore were about ten times the amount the country spent on hosting the summit.
