US President Donald Trump and North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un met for the first time on June 12 as the two leaders particpated in a historic summit at the Capella Hotel on Singapore’s Sentosa island.The two leaders shook hands as they kicked off the summit, which aimed to ease the nuclear standoff between the two countries.The US objective during the summit is “the complete, and verifiable, and irreversible denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula,” said Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
