Trump’s Trade Wars Could Cost US Thousands Of Jobs

Steel and aluminum tariffs issued by Donald Trump against Mexico, Canada and the European Union could end up making things very ugly for US workers. Economists at consulting group The Trade Partnership say in a new study, "The tariffs and retaliation would increase U.S. steel employment and non-ferrous metals employment by 26,346 jobs, but cost a net of 495,136 jobs throughout the rest of the economy, for a total net loss of nearly 470,000 jobs.
