U.S., China Launch Trade Negotiations To Avoid Trade War

According to a report by Reuters, the United States and China launched a second round of trade talks on Thursday in their continued attempt to avoid a damaging trade war, with the Trump administration demanding a 200 billion-dollar cut in China's US trade surplus and increased protections for intellectual property. Reuters reports that at talks in Beijing two weeks ago, both sides presented lengthy lists of demands, and agreed only to continue negotiations. U.S.
