According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, two people familiar with the matter said that the Trump Administration has reached out to China for a new round of trade talks as it prepares to activate tariffs on 200 billion-dollars worth of Chinese goods. Reuters reports that senior US officials, led by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, recently sent an invitation to their Chinese counterparts suggesting another bilateral trade meeting.
